Bogin 134, 177-178 fl. mid-XIII; probably from Rougiers, near Monaco; anon. canso in her honor Quan @Proensa ac perduda proeza {PC 461,204}; Bogin suggests several possibilities for location of "Rosers": (I) Rosières, near Largentière (Ardèche, 12 mi. from Montélimar); (2) Roziers, near Millau (Lozère); (3) Rougiers (most probable); GRLMA II.1.7:465 1225-1250, prob de Rougier, cant St-Maximin, arr Brignoles; DOM Supl1 2e qu. 13e s.; Rougiers (Var) [GRLMA II.1.7: 465]; Perkal-B 1986:96 Guillelma may be assigned a date thru her relation with LanfrCig (fl. 1235-1257) (MdR III,1359); BEdT 1999/07/27 generazione 5= 1230-1260; cfr. 461,204; DBT DBT 226-227 Rougiers (Var) best candidate for her (BEdT, Gambino); other candidates: Rosière nell’Ardèche (Schultz-Gora), Rozier nel Millau (Bogin), Roser de Saint-Gilles nel Gard (Rieger). Plausibly daughter of Guglielmo di Signes-Solliés, with 3 brothers and 1 sister all documented. ca. 1241, G. intrecciò con Lanfranc Cigala* il dibattito Na Guillelma, maint cavalier aratge (BdT 282.14 = 200.1); in Liguria 1246-48, an anonymous poet praised G., confirming the importance of her role in developing trobar in Liguria;
