(vida) from the Auvergne, near Le Puy, wife of Turc de Mairona [B-S château de Meyronne, commune Venteuges, canton Saugues, arr Le Puy, Haute-Loire]; ca 1200-1250; Bogin 1976:118 born ca. 1200; 1976:178 probably the wife of a nobleman who fought in the Fourth Crusade (hence "Turc"); earliest mention of a "Turc de Mairona" ca. 1225; DOM Supl1 1200-1250; Jeanroy p356 re: _Les Troubadours cantaliens_, eds de la Salle/Lavaud (vol. 1, p399ff): "persuadés que la poétesse était originaire de Castel d'Oze/Casteldauze, château en ruines dans la commune de Senezergues (canton de Montsalvy, arr Aurillac), ces éditeurs ont arbitrairement altéré son nom en celui de 'Casteldoza' "; GRLMA II.1.7 p79 mentionnée dans la vida de Pons de Merindol; une 4e canso lui est maintenant attribuée {PC 461,191}; Rivière 1974:8 c'est sans preuve que La Salle Rochemaure et Lavaud la situent originaire de Casteldauze, comm.
