PC xli "Dithyrambus"; 2005-10-24 ("Bacchus in Toscana", 1685); (www.newadvent.org/cathen/12687b.htm) the "Bacco in Toscana" is the best example of the dithyramb in Italian, and, although deformed occasionally by obscure imagery and diction, it remains one of the best works of the seventeenth century; 2008-05-29 <www.cosmovisions.com/Redi.htm> poème lyrique et humoristique plein d'une charmante fantaisie, où il représente Bacchus, mis en belle humeur par le vin de Montepulciano, discourant librement de toutes choses et notamment de la valeur respective des crus toscans; il a laissé, en outre, des fragments d'un autre dithyrambe qui devait faire pendant au premier, en célébrant les vertus de l'eau (Arianna enferma), des sonnets, des odes, dont quelques-unes du genre burlesque, et des à-propos destinés à être mis en musique;
