L'attribuzione a questo trovatore della canzone PC 003,005, unicum del canz. ^z, è stata contestata da Borghi Cedrini 1996, che propone di considerare in alternativa Guillem Ademar. In Ademar lo Negre è per contro con molta probabilità da riconoscere l'Ademar che è interlocutore di Raimon de Miraval nella tenzone PC 001,001 "Miraval, tenso grazida". DBT 22: "negre" physical description (Gourc); partimen (a noi giunto mutilo) intrecciato prima del 1213 con Raimon de Miraval (Partimen of Ademar (lo Negre?) and Raimon de Miraval (PC 1,1 = 406.32);
